Ann’s Story
Ann first came to Mission Trails Dentistry as a new patient in 2003. Prior to coming to our office Ann had two front teeth that had been bonded with composite resin to repair some chipping. Over the past few years Ann’s teeth had become discolored and the bonding began to breakdown. Ann was unhappy with the look of her two front teeth. They were discolored, chipped and rotated. This bothered her in pictures and she always hid her smile around others.

Ann recently asked what we could do about her smile. We set up a smile evaluation appointment with our San Diego cosmetic dentist Dr. Salazar where he took digital photographs, x-rays and study models of her teeth. From this information Dr. Salazar established two treatment options. The first option was to restore her smile with four porcelain veneers on her upper front teeth along with Zoom in office teeth whitening. The second option was two Porcelain restorations on her central incisiors and Zoom in office teeth whitening.
Dr. Salazar then met with Ann to discuss the pros and cons of each treatment option and answer any of her questions. Ann was concerned with the cost of treatment but she wanted the best possible outcome for the long term health and beauty of her teeth. After discussing the options Ann and Dr. Salazar decided on treating three of her front teeth, porcelain restorations on her central incisors, composite bonding on her upper right lateral incisor and Zoom teeth whitening. This plan worked well with Ann’s budget and gave her the result that she wanted.
Working together Ann and Dr. Salazar were able to find the best solution and Ann loves her new beautiful smile!!!
